Circle of Life Memorial Window

This window is entitled “The Circle of Life”. It is housed in the activity center at Harrisburg United Methodist Church in Harrisburg, NC. It was created as a memorial to Reverend Abe Cox III. The panel measures 90" x 45".

“The Circle of Life” relates to the notion of “heaven and hell” as being something we all live with every day, either in the spiritual sense, or a metaphorical sense. I wanted to create an image that showed a sense of hope. The “thorns” and “fire” shown at the base of the window represents our daily struggles. The thorns change into Easter Lilies as they spread out to the left and right, eventually changing into the dove.

The design was created on Dragonfly’s GlassEye 2000 software, and was featured as their first Design of the Month on their web site. http://www.dfly.com/dotm/September2004.html
